Total EDC Diamond drilling base fluid used by Daewoo Myanmar SHWE project

The Shwe Natural Gas project consists of the Shwe, Shwe Phyu and Mya offshore gas fields, located in blocks A-1 and A-3 of the Bay of Bengal, Myanmar. It is supported by Myanmar, China, and India, and is being developed by a consortium of six companies, led by POSCO subsidiary Daewoo International, which is also the operator of the project.

Total EDC Diamond was selected as drilling base fluids for SHWE project started Feb 2013, through the whole drilling program, it performed very well and met expectation of both operator and service company.

Tota Oil Asia-Pacific Pte Ltd (TOAP) Special Fluids team had provided in-time technical & logistics support to ensure all the operation on schedule.

It was the first sales of EDC drilling fluids in Myanmar.
