He was therefore the only president of SN REPAL from its foundation to its transformation after the Franco-Algerian oil agreement of 1965. Its relationship with the CFP was of good quality: it enabled the discoveries of Hassi Messaoud and Hassi r'Mel, as well as the Algerian petroleum developments. Subsequently, he accumulated several places as president, notably in the real estate and urban sectors.
