Raymond Lévy - Vice-Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Elf Aquitaine

Born June 28, 1927 in Paris. Lycées Rollin and Saint-Louis (Paris), École polytechnique, École nationale supérieure des mines de Paris, Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Engineer at the Corps des Mines, Master of Sciences. He is a graduate of the Ecole des Mines engineering school (Ingénieur Général des Mines), Chairman of the Compagnie Française des Aciers Spéciaux (1981-1984), Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Usinor (1982-1984), Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Solmer (1982-1984), Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Cockerill Sambre (1985-1986), Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Régie Renault (1986-1992), and Vice-Chairman of the Conseil Général des Mines in 1987. Chairman of the European Foundation for Quality Management (1991). From 1998 to 2001, he was Chairman of CDR (Consortium de réalisation des actifs du Crédit lyonnais). City Councillor of Vaucresson (Hauts-de-Seine) from 2001 to 2008. Officer of the Legion of Honour, Commander of the National Order of Merit. Died in December 2014.
