Born February 3, 1925 in Paris. Lycée Buffon, Faculty of Law of Paris, graduate in law. He is a man with a double career: in the Group, he joined the Société des produits Chimiques d'Auby in 1945, of which he became CEO in 1965. President of the French Union of Fertilizers and Chemicals. Then, he was CEO of the Pierrefitte-Auby Company (1970-1977) and at the same time, from 1971 to 1977, CEO of the COFAZ (French Nitrogen Company), which absorbed Pierrefitte-Auby in 1970. It is therefore one of the key men in organizing the French fertilizer sector at a difficult time due to the rising cost of raw materials and competition from emerging countries. Outside the Group, he was at the same time chief of staff to the Secretary of State for Air, then to Armament D. Catroux (1954-1955).
