Lycée Fustel de Coulanges (Strasbourg), Lycée Jeanson de Sailly and Claude Bernard (Paris).

Deputy managing director in 1957, managing director in 1964, administrator then vice-president of Antargaz from 1969 to 1976. Vice-CEO of Elf-Monogaz in 1973, then CEO of Antargaz in 1978 after the merger of Antargaz and d'Elf Monogaz in 1976.

Chairman of the professional butane and propane committee from 1964 to 1971. He was the LPG man of the Elf group during the sixties and seventies. CEO of Sidemat-Jet Gaz from 1962 to 1977.
