Paul-Albert Moch - President of the RAP, Vice-president of Elf ERAP

Born February 8, 1908 in Neuilly-sur-Seine. Chaptal College, Polytechnic School. Engineer at the Corps des mines. Mining engineer in Constantine (1932-1935), then at the mines directorate in Paris (1935-1939) where he follows the economic questions of big industry. Fighting on the Lorraine front, he was a prisoner for five years. President of the RAP (Autonomous Petroleum Authority) and Executive Vice-President of the BRP (Petroleum Research Bureau) between 1945 and 1965. He was among the key men behind the future Elf group. Vice-president of ERAP from 1965 to 1976. CEO of the UGP from 1960 to 1966, then of Elf Union. At the same time, he remained CEO of CREPS (Company for oil exploration and exploitation in the Sahara) from 1953 to 1970. President of Elf Mineraloel (1966), CEO of Socantar in 1970, administrator of Elf-Gabon, Amrep, from the Union Chimique Elf Aquitaine (UCEA),… Administrator of the French Institute of Fuel and Energy. He represented national enterprises on the Economic and Social Council from 1959. Died in 1985
