Born January 17, 1922 in Paris.
Cours Hattemer, Lycée Henri-IV, Faculty of Law, École Polytechnique, Doctor of Economic Sciences, graduate of the INSEE application school. Director of INSEE (1949-1954), joined CFP in 1955.
Director of Deutsche Total from 1959 to 1969. Director in charge of the economic studies department of the CFP (1969-1987).
His great regret was the failure of the PSC's takeover attempt on Gelsenberg in 1968 due to political blunders [remarks made at HLH].
In 1969 he succeeded Jules Leveugle as director of the economic department, where he remained until his retirement. He wrote several books on oil, the economy of oil, ..., notably in the collection Que sais-je ? With Étienne Dalemont in the 80s.
Died September 22, 2015.
