Born January 1, 1926 in Paris.
École Massillon, Lycée Blaise-Pascal in Clermont-Ferrand, Lycée Louis-le-Grand, École polytechnique, École nationale supérieure des pétroles et des moteurs. Commissioner then Chief Commissioner of the Navy (1949-1961).
In 1961 he joined the newly formed UGP (Union Générale des Pétroles), which became Elf-Union in 1987, where he was Director in charge of supplies. Director at Elf-Distribution from 1971 to 1974. Deputy Director, then Director of the General Inspection Department of the Elf-Aquitaine Group (1980), Director of Group Shipping (1981-1987), then Advisor to the Group's General Manager of Refining and Distribution, he was responsible for overseeing the adaptation of the fleet to an unfavorable economic environment, marked, among other things, by the shipment of the Pierre-Guillaumat, one of the largest tankers ever built, to a purgatory in Fujairah after five and a half years at sea. Director of several companies, including Géosel and Géopipe.
Judge at the Commercial Court of Paris after 1987. Died in January 2009.
