Director of External Relations of the CFP from 1958 to 1962. He joined the PSC on February 1, 1958 after beginning his career at the Quai d'Orsay.
Born June 16, 1917 in Washington, D.C. Fontanes School in Paris, London School in Washington, D.C., Paris Law School.
Embassy Attaché in the Levant from 1944 to 1947, Embassy Secretary in Berlin (1947-1949), Embassy Counsellor in Ottawa (1951-1954), then in Washington, D.C. (1954-1958).
On secondment to the CFP, he created the Group's external relations function, where he remained for four years. He served as Embassy Counsellor in Moscow (1962-1964), North African Affairs Officer at headquarters (1965-1968), Ambassador to Brazil, then to Japan, then to the United States (1977-1982).
Died on 28 August 1996.
