Contract with Purfina for supply gasoline in Oudenburg

In 1929, garage owner Leopold Desmet signed a contract with Purfina for the sale of 5000 litres of petrol in Oudenburg, in the North of Belgium. At that time, there were 5 cars driving around in Oudenburg and Leopold Desmet sold the motorcycle brand Sarolea. With the contract, 1 hand pump was delivered on loan by Purfina. Leopold his son, Roland, took over in 1965 and sold the brand Fina till 1995. Today the great-granddaughter works at Total Gas & Power, i.e. Liesbeth Desmet.
