The Compagnons de la Libération at Total

Of the Compagnons de la Libération, two worked at Total.

General Jean Louis Garot, born May 29, 1916 (and died April 13, 1990), had a military career, the details of which are given here: He ended his career by working from 1974 to 1982 in the Group as a Legal Officer.

Grand Officer of the Legion of Honour, he is also a Companion of the Liberation (by decree of 29 May 1945).

Pierre de Hautecloque, born on February 10, 1910 (and died on September 24, 2004), graduated from St Cyr in 1930, and also had a brilliant military career until 1958, when he joined TOTAL. His biography is detailed here. He worked at Compagnie Française de Distribution from 1962 until 1971, when he retired.

It is planned that the last Compagnon will be buried at Mont-Valérien in Suresnes (92).
