In 2007, two new gas discoveries were made in the south of the Mahakam permit (50%, operator), located in the offshore area of ​​East Kalimantan.

2008-2009, on the Peciko field, after the start of a new platform (phase 5) at the end of 2008, a new phase of well drilling (phase 7) began in 2009. Peciko produces 737 Mpc / day of gas in 2009. The oil discovery in 2008 launched a development study on the East Bekapai exploration well. The development of South Mahakam with the discoveries of Stupa, West Stupa and East Mandu is launched in early 2008 with a view to starting production in 2012. The Southeast Mahakam exploration block (50%, operator), located in the delta of the Mahakam, is the subject of a seismic acquisition campaign in 2008. On the field of Sisi-Nubi, put into production in November 2007, the drilling continues and gas production reached 396 Mpc / d in 2009. Sisi-Nubi gas is produced through Tunu's processing facilities.

Lastly, in February 2009, together with its partner Inpex and the national company Pertamina, the Group signed a memorandum of understanding with a consortium of Japanese LNG buyers, providing for the main terms and conditions for the extension of sales contracts for 1973 and 1981 LNG. Under this agreement, the Bontang liquefaction plant is expected to deliver 25 Mt of LNG to Japan between 2011 and 2020. The gas will come from the Mahakam license.

2011, several equity investments across the country: on the 1,500 square kilometer Coal Bed Methane (CBM) block in Kutai Timur, East Kalimantan Province, up to 50%; 100% in the South West Bird's Head exploration block. A block of 7,200 km2, in land and sea, in West Papua; on the deep offshore blocks of Sageri (50%), South Sageri (45%) and Sadang (30%); in South Mandar Block in southern Makassar Strait.

2012, TOTAL acquires a 100% stake in the Bengkulu Exploration Block I - Mentawai in the Bengkulu Offshore Basin southwest of Sumatra in October. In October, the Group acquired a 100% interest in the Telen Exploration Block, located in the Kutai offshore basin in East Kalimantan Province. Preparatory work for the Anggrek Hitam 1 exploration well begins at the end of 2012.

In 2015, the Group divested its holdings in the two blocks of coal bed methane (CBM) located in the province of East Kalimantan, Kutai II (18.4%) and Kutai Timur (50%).

2017, the Mahakam permit expires at the end of December. The Indonesian government decides to allocate 100% of the interest to Pertamina (operator) as of January 1st. The Group supplies most of its natural gas production to the Bontang liquefaction plant. These volumes of gas represent 80% of the supply of this plant.
