A difficult start
At that time, most oil companies opted to be self-sufficient with regard to technical resources and acquired their own seismic equipment, drilling rigs and other hardware. As a result, most of the cementing, production testing, geological controls and fracturing were performed by Petrofina personnel using their own equipment. The only service provider enlisted to assist with the campaign was Schlumberger, which was responsible for electrical logging.
